Tawanna Brown, of Verona, New Jersey, an incoming freshman at Seton Hall University, is the 2021 recipient of the Akerman Academic Excellence Scholarship.

Mehta, having learned about the critical work of CASA/GAL program staff and volunteers through her sister, recently nominated National CASA/GAL to receive contributions from MasterClass’ generous employee giving program.

National CASA/GAL is continuing to develop our Fostering Futures initiative, which will allow us to better serve older youth in foster care.

June is nationally recognized as Reunification Month— an important opportunity to share the importance of children and youth in foster care reunifying with their family.

National CASA/GAL provides ongoing training and support to our network during the pandemic.

The National CASA/GAL Association for Children is pleased to welcome Maureen Haller as its chief development officer.

With the addition of the COVID-19 pandemic, the stress and hardship on families requires even more collaboration, strategies and support from various systems – including foster care, as well as school systems, courts, community programs, and CASA/GAL programs – to strengthen the capacity of families to ensure the well-being of children and youth.
